Visiting for the First Time?
You are welcome here. There is no pressure to participate, dress a certain way, or already know what to do. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted by people who are glad you’re here and happy to help you find your way.
Whenever we gather together, we seek to bring glory to God in His church and to encourage one another to serve Him more faithfully.
Ephesians 3:21; Hebrews 10:24
What Our Worship Is Like
On Sunday we gather to worship God, remember Jesus’ death on the cross, and encourage one another to grow in faith as we follow the pattern of the early church. Participation is always voluntary, and many visitors simply observe.
Prayer
We pray to God our Father through His Son, Jesus Christ. Our prayers include praise and thanksgiving, as well as humble requests for those who are sick and for needs within our congregation and community.
1 Thessalonians 5:17; Colossians 4:2; 1 Timothy 2:1
Singing
We praise God and exhort one another together through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs following the New Testament example of a cappella music sung from the heart.
Colossians 3:16; Ephesians 5:19
The Lord’s Supper
We memorialize Jesus’s death by eating unleavened bread and drinking the fruit of the vine, as Jesus commanded. We do this on the first day of every week, like the Christians in the first century.
Matthew 26:26-28; Luke 22:19-20; Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26
Giving
We give back to God as a response to His blessings. The money is collected in boxes by the entrances and is used to spread the gospel as well as helping needy saints. Visitors are not expected to contribute.
1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
Preaching and Teaching
We focus on preaching relevant, biblical sermons that equip and challenge us to be fruitful in Christ. All in attendance are encouraged to use their Bible to follow along and gain a fuller understanding and knowledge of God and His expectations of us.
Acts 2:42, 20:7; Acts 20:32; 2 Timothy 1:13; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 4:2
Bible Classes
We have Bible classes for all ages on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday evenings. These classes are always biblically based on a variety of subjects. We focus on spiritual growth and a fuller understanding of God’s word. We are currently studying the books of Matthew and Luke.
2 Timothy 2:15; Ephesians 4:14-16; Philippians 4:8
Common Questions
Still have questions?
If you’d like to know more about our beliefs, Bible classes, or what happens during worship, we’d be glad to help. You’re welcome to ask someone in person or reach out through our contact page before visiting. We’re also happy to arrange a personal Bible study if that would be helpful.
